Warranty
Crafted to Last, Designed to Impress
American Heritage Company proudly stands for exceptional craftsmanship and unmatched quality. Each belt is made from premium full-grain leather—never processed or bonded—and is manufactured in the USA. This guarantees unparalleled strength and durability, with belts that resist cracking, breaking, or excessive stretching. Should a belt fail during normal use, we will gladly replace it with the original size purchased.
Warranty Information
Coverage
The warranty applies to material defects and construction issues under regular use. Our belts are designed to hold pants and gear such as holsters or utility tools. Misuse—such as exposure to chemicals, damage caused by animals, or using the belt as a tow strap—is not covered and voids the warranty. For heavier needs, we recommend upgrading to a heavy-duty belt.
Modifications
For belts without cores, punching additional holes is allowed as long as they are spaced at least 3/4 inches apart. However, reinforced belts with cores are structurally compromised by additional holes, which voids the warranty.
Hardware Protection
Buckles and screws are guaranteed against breakage, and replacements will be offered free of charge. For screws that frequently loosen, applying clear nail polish to the threads can help secure them. Please note that cosmetic imperfections are not covered.
Stretching & Comfort
Excessive stretching is defined as more than 1.5 inches under appropriate use with a belt of the proper weight. Stretching up to 3/8 inches, especially near belt holes, is considered normal. Over time, belts naturally conform to your body, enhancing comfort without being considered a defect. Stretching from misuse or water damage is not covered.
Cosmetic Wear on Hardware
While buckles are covered against breakage or functional failure, natural wear on finishes and plating over time is not included in the warranty.
Weight Changes
The warranty applies to belts in the original size purchased. Unfortunately, it does not cover size changes due to weight loss or gain.
Moisture & Storage
Repeated soaking, drying, or improper storage in damp conditions can damage leather belts, which voids the warranty. Although our belts are built to endure various weather conditions, it’s best to avoid prolonged exposure to water.
Wallet Components
Due to natural wear, plastic parts and linings in wallets are excluded from warranty coverage. For long-lasting durability, we recommend wallets without these features.
Discontinued Styles
If your belt style is no longer available, you may choose either a refund or a credit toward a comparable product.
Trimmed Belt Lengths
Modifying the length of a belt can affect its usability. Precision is key—cutting too much voids the warranty.
Generational Durability
Belts and wallets handed down to family members are still covered, provided the original purchaser’s details are available. For discontinued wallet styles, we will provide a similar option as a replacement.
